PROFILE

Duey Krische-Duenas, B.Sc (Hons), Acupuncture, MBAcC

Duey trained at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York completing a three year B.Sc Honours degree in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture. Being fully qualified, licensed and insured, he is now a member of the British Acupuncture Council.

Acupuncture can treat a wide range of conditions. After taking a detailed medical history, traditional acupuncturists insert extremely fine, single-use disposable needles in order to stimulate the body’s self-healing mechanisms. Most people find acupuncture to be very calming and relaxing and it is common practise to recommend a course of treatments that is reviewed after three to four sessions. This is because the benefits of acupuncture are cumulative over the course. Although, improvements can often be had after only one or two sessions, depending on the condition.

As an holistic treatment, alongside traditional needling and cupping techniques, Traditional Chinese acupuncture may also include lifestyle suggestions and will seek to start returning balance to physical and emotional wellbeing. Duey is committed to working towards formulating a treatment plan that considers clients wellbeing in relation to their environment, work, diet, physical activity, sleep and emotional state. Duey’s style is calm, informal and professional.
